My greenhouse is key to the production of produce in the early months of the year.
As soon as Christmas is over I look forward to retrieving my seed container out of the cupboard and reminding myself of the delights stored within!!
I collate my seed packets into their families; such as, Barrassicas - Cabbages, Cauliflowers and Broccoli etc as I then know where to find everything followed by the earliest sowing date on the top.
I retrieve my plug trays from the shed then fill them with Erins compost. I find this works best for me as it doesn't tend to dry out as some of the other brands, especially handy when dealing with young seedlings.
This is what I grow in the greenhouse...
- Tomatoes - I use the seeds from M&S Piccolo Sweet Cherry Tomatoes
- Cucumber - Cucino
- Salad leaves - Italian Mix, Rocket, Sorrel blood veined
- Spring Onions - White Lisbon
- Aubergines - Calliope
- Peppers, Sweet Ingrid
